Hi Brian - yes, there are a couple of well-documented cases at St Barts: one of the lifts is haunted by the ghost of a nurse who was murdered in it. It is now known as the 'Coffin Lift' and will occasionally take people down to the basement irrespective of which floor they pressed. There is also a grey lady in Grace Ward, who taps nurses on the shoulder and shakes her head in warning. She is apparently the spirit of a nurse who committed suicide after administering a fatal overdose to a patient, or alternatively she is the ghoat of a nurse who was killed by a mentally disturbed patient (depends on who's account you read!) Try Ghosts of London by J A Brooks, or the excellent Walking Haunted London by Richard Jones. Please get in touch if you want any more info - I have an extensive library and could do a little more research.
