Take Epping New Road, go towards Epping from Woodford, at roundabout with exit marked High Beach (1st left) go towards High Beach, 1st right, small windy road which will eventually bring you to T junction with church/graveyard on left. Go left, drive for approx 500 yards - go up steep hill, at this point start looking to your right and you will see a clearing in the trees with a big hill..Hangmans Hill! Lots of stories surrounding it re the hanging of highway men. My husband, who is a sceptic confirms lots of strange energies in the spot, park your car at the bottom of the road and it will roll up hill! (theories are that it is an illusion, but you try!)
