Subject: Burnley Ghosts

Further to my previous message I thought I should put some flesh on the bones of my story, so to speak.
After a few weeks of moving in to our house in Burnley it became apparent that there was something not quite right going on. My first tangible experience came one afternoon when I was decorating. I reached down to pull up my overalls and felt a rush of activity behind me. For a few seconds I saw a child's face. The face seemed to be in monochrome colours and appeared to swirl around. It looked very mischievious and quite happy in a way although it scared the living daylights out of me at the time.
That event heralded the start of our experiences in that house and also my interest in the paranormal. What unfolded after that is the subject of my forthcoming story which I'm hoping to finish soon. Although i've moved house since then I've never managed to fully shake off the effects. In lots of ways I feel I'm still involved with the house and what went on there. I can still recall the chattering of child voices late at night and the warm feeling of being 'looked after' by whatever shared the house with us. Once I got used to it it became part of our lives. In addition to this I found the entire town quite spooky and felt different presences at other locations in the town. Does anyone have any other Burnley tales that might make me sound slightly less mad! cheers, Adrian.
