If it is the same thing you are going on about i remember watching a programme on Channel 4 about a family living in a haunted house, I think it was about that time as i must have only been 13 or 14.

The one I am thinking about had a family of people living in a house and there was a ghost that the family called Mr Pipes as they heard something in the pipes. Also one of the children, I think a little girl kept waking up with scratches all over her.

Unfortunately I cant remember what it was called.

I was talking to my fiancee about this before i saw your message (a bit of a coincidence) and he said that a few people committed suicide because of that programme and that is why it has never been shown again.
