Subject: Conservation of energy

The reference to the Law of Conservation of Energy in the "About Us" page is really interesting. Some questions also come to mind when regarding this theory of afterlife. Most are aware that electricity is present in our bodies, carrying messages and regulating our hearbeat, etc. Is this the only recognized form of energy in our bodies? Of course, energy is present in other forms as well--chemical, mechanical and so on. Yet these other forms are a result of bodily processes that originate with electical impulses along nerves, right? So how much of a charge do we carry, and how do we replenish this charge? We'd run out of juice eventually, if we couldn't.
Now, if I put a working flashlight on a shelf and forget about it for a few years, then come back and turn it on only to find that the batteries are dead, where did the charge go? Of course batteries discharge themselves over time, so does that mean the batteries' energy is staying concentrated in space where the flashlight was stored? Unlikely. Why then, would the energy in our bodies stay concentrated and move around as a unit. After all, energy is energy, right?
Which has me wondering something else. This is probably getting a little graphic, but... When I die, my body will decompose. This is a chemical change that has to be exothermic. So, now, is the heat energy produced from the breakdown of my body mass, however minute, still MY energy, assuming that my spirit has already gone?
This now presents the question, which of the energy forms in my body are my spirit? How is it separate from the rest?
(Sorry, I don't mean to sound sarcastic, it's just that the more I write, the more questions I have.)
Also, the phenomenon of areas of cold in relation to the presence of ghosts... Cold temperature is really a lack of energy. So how is it that a manifestation of energy (read: spirit) is associated with areas of cold air?
These are all just my rambling thoughts, and I appreciate if you've borne with me this far. I'm sure there may be flaws in my reasoning and I'm interested in hearing anybody else's take on the subject.

Thanks,
Doug
