I have read about your spooky black entity and, well, I'll tell you what happened to me in a one bedroomed house on an estate in Frome, Somerset, called Stonebridge.

The house was rented to me by Knightstone Housing Association, and before I went to view the place I was told that the previous tenant had committed suicide in the bedroom which was upstairs. Not very nice, as when I went into the upstairs bedroom, dried blood and a large hole broken into the chipboard of the flooring revealed what had happened in that room.

I moved into the property on the 13th October 1996, (not a good day to move) and had a couple of friends over to warm the place up, at about 11:30pm the front door, even though nobody was anywhere near it at the time, made a loud slamming noise and the letterbox rattled. I remarked at the time "See you later then . . ." or something like that and thought nothing of it.

But what got me going was one evening, late January, after an abismal and depressing christmas, I went to bed at about 1:30am and went to sleep as normal, or as normal as I thought, but remember quite vividly as though it had happened a moment ago, that I was aware, through seeing in the complete dark of the unlit bedroom, a silhouetted jet black figure stood in the corner of the room, and with that image fixed and being unable to move, I heard a voice in my head ask me "Are you o.k?" and could not make a sound with my voice and as soon as I tried, I only remember waking up the next morning, like nothing had happened.
