Subject: The Cooker Ghost?

When I was about 13, I was at home cooking. It was an electric cooker with 2 of the rings being used. There was only my mum and myself in the house. I went into the living room where she was sat, located at the end of a hallway. On returning back to the kitchen, the cooker wasn't working. On closer examination I noticed that all the dials for the rings were on zero and the the cooker box, for the main power, on the wall had been turn off. As a child I always believed that the house was different. I always try to find a rational explanation for strange happenings. Has anyone got one for this, 'cause I haven't.
