Hi everyone! I wanted to write a bried summary of a wonderful experience which I had last night....

I went to a Roman Catholic Charismatic service, though I myself am not a Roman Catholic.

My experience at their service last night was absolutely AMAZING!

First, the service began with well known worship music...and guess what? It certainly wasn't Anti Semitic, as songs written by Jewish writers were sung.

As amatter of fact, the Israeli song that they were singing caused a p[owerful move of the Spirit among them! I cannot describe what took place, save to say it was Christ being glorified and He alone.

They didn't pray to Mary or any of the Saints last night.

They didn't worship statues.

They didn't talk about the Pope or priests but only spoke of how gracioius Christ is.

They SPECIFICALLY made the undeniable statement that we are NOT saved by works but by Grace through Faith ALONE..they then stated that good works come as a RESULT of God's free Salvation brought to us through the Death of Jesus Christ.

They began praying in the Spirit (tongues) which was the ONLY part that was bothersome to me, as 1 Cor 14 tells us NOT to do so UNLESS there is an interpreter.

Other than that BRIEF session, all went so amazingly!

They even mentioned that the fact that we GENTILES are grafted into the Jewish Vine.

Doesn't soundtoo much like the Roman catholicism that we hear of today by Fundamentalists who have painted them all with the same brush of racial hatred.

Andto top it all off, they claimed that the Born Again Pentecostals, Baptsis etc etc were Brethren also, and that those who are SAVED (their words) are the True Church of Jesus Christ and that there is NO OTHER NAME under Heaven given among men whereby we MUST be saved...

The entire service (and no, they didn't do the Mass) was absolutely Christ honoring and Spirit Filled.

I have a new appreciation for these dear friends of God.

No, the PAST of their church may be tainted, but who among us can say our own PERSONAL lives from the past (Before Christ) were NOT tainted?

Pope JP2 confessed the sins of the RC's against Jews and Martyrs....

Why is it that we must degrade these people as LESS than true Believers if indeed they have experienced the New Birth?
