I read you article on Lusterless OD paints, and agree totally with your thoughts on the subject. I’ve had my 41 willys since 1989, when we first restored it we used the paint that was available at the time, even than I thought the color was not right. Looked around for the right color OD, but was told what was in the market was correct. I had the jeep repainted shortly there after with original military OD paint but it could be or most likely post WWII. Still it was and is a darker green than the other vehicles around here.
I could go on and on, I don’t want to waist your time busy. I am going to repaint my jeep this fall, and I don’t have an original part to match the color from, I'd like to get it right this time around, can you help.
