Nikira grinned slightly, eyes lifting the the sky slightly. She spoke softly, nearly inaudible.

"My story is not one of happiness, though I have lived with my siblings all my life, as kerls. We felt no need to reside in a pack, for none of us desires to be dominated by any. Eventually we knew that pack life was probably better for all of us, so we joined the balkar."

She said no more, though her past was more detailed than that. Memories wash over her in a tidal wave...The den... calm warmth...smell of humans..dogs..furious Demon..fear...pain...safety...rejoicing...sadness.
Masking her visage carefully, none of these memories are visible to the male, though it pained her greatly to remember. Smiling, she nods.

"There isn't much to my life, its' not worth telling. Do you have any family?"

She knew the question may anger or hurt the other, but also knew it made it easier to have another to talk to about such things.
