((OOC: lol, bad, bad demon! Ah well..)
Demons' glittering orbs shifted to Brechin, unsettling gaze upon the peace-maker. His lips remained lifted, and he spoke, voice lower and gravelly. He had not lost control of himself yet although it seemed he did-he could feel Chiji and Di shift their frames forward slightly-but he paid them no mind.
"She is worthless to us, can't you see? So much inexperience and an inability to control herself when others fight. It is she who is the reason your Balkar is dead."
He was fully aware that he too had killed, but the other had been weak and unable to protect himself properly. Surely these others could not see that? His frame rippled and tensed, whether it be to leap over Brechin to attack Letha or go through him first, one could not know, for at that time the Drappa had appeared, her voice ringing about the terra. Normally he would have backed down, nodding respectfully to the drappa before melting into the shadows-but not now. He had a score to settle with the pup, and it would be settled.
A low growl rumbled from Demons' left. Chijiresusus' snarling visage drifted into view, orbs locked on Demon. SHe knew he had a score to settle, else he would have backed off by now, but she found herself wanting the pup gone too...She did not show her feelings but darted a glance at Diablo-he was getting out of control. Chijiresusu was wrong, though. Demon was far from out of control...
Diablo returned the gaze, nodding ever so-slightly. They had to try to calm him down...He slipped forward beside Demon, making it seem as if they were on his side, and a meaningful glance was given to each other. He tensed, as did she, to leap. They aimed quick, and low, to trip his feet out from beneath him.
Any other time, Demon would have fell to the ground uselessly, but his orbs had caught Chijiresusus' apparently random nod. He had carefully launched himself forward so they both leapt forward into Demon-who wasn't there any more. A low snarl was given to them, he would deal with them later. His attention turned back to Letha, anger flooding his form. The swirling red swirled ever-faster. He did not move, nor did he even react to Drekkas' vocals. His gaze remained trained upon Letha, unshifting.
Chijiresusu watched the standoff, gaze shifting from Brechin to the drappa then to Letha. Her crania nodded respectfully to both Brechin and Drekka, and she watched them intently, visage a mask. None could determine her feelings. Such a fool Brechin was to protect this lupine when she was so worthless. If she didn't know better, she would have thought he had feelings for her! She could sense the fierce ones' fury rising, and she knew the only thing stopping him from ripping apart both Brechin and Letha was Drekka. This confused her, because none would have stopped him before...could Demon now be in total control of his Lust? Many times before he had ruined their chances of a pack with his Lust...Thoughts invisible, she moved forward, jaws slipping about Demons' shoulder, opposite the injured one. She spoke one word, nearly whispered it, rolling from her frame for all to hear.
"Enough."
Demon snarled, nearly turning on CHijiresusu with fury, but early training stopped him. The swirling red slowed to an almost complete stop...He stared back at Letha, feeling it shart to rise once more, but the steady pain in his shoulder because of CHijiresusu kept him grounded to reality. His gaze locked with Chijiresusus, before he whirled with a snarl after casting a glare to all about him. He melted into the shadows, the last part of him visible the reflection of his crimson-tinged orbs...
Chijiresusu watched him go and then breathed a silent sigh, watching the others intently. She did not move, at least not yet, perhaps the drappa had something to say. She was weary, and exhausted, as she knew all were. Her gaze shifted to Brechin, and then to Letha. Her lips lifted slightly, but her hackles remained low. Her gaze shifted to Drekka, locking with her orbs.
Diablos' frame lowered slightly to the Drappa. He spoke softly, trying to make amends as he knew Chijiresusu wasn't going to. He wasn't going to tell her his families' life story, but he would shed light on what had already been displayed.
"Forgive Demon, Drekka. Although he has partial control of his Lust, the swirling red still grabs hold of him. There is nothing any of us can do save let him calm himself. The demons still haunt him, and probably always will.."
He let it go at that.
