Even now their search carried on, as it always did. Five or six sets of depthless, calculating voids watched the silver-socked femme, their beaks clicking as some of them hopped side to side on branches and others restlessly flapped their wings. A number of calls rang down to the wolfess, as if taunting her to play with them; to entertain them. They acted as a demanding audiance who wished to be amused by the court jester, though it was more a tease, figuring she wouldn't play along anyways. None of the other Balkar did.
