Subject: The issues matters, not as much as where your from

See when Ed Flanagan ran in 2000 against Jim, I voted against Flanagan, because of the issues. The issues are what matter to me, and somewhat where you are. McMullen's situation was very unique, and I think he would of waged a much for formidable challenge for Leahy in '98, but the past is the past. Now back to what I was saying about Flanagan, he moved here (Vermont) early in his life, and was active so thats alright in my opinion. See Bernie didn't spend much of his adult life here. He came here in his 40's or 50's. I can't remember, then he ran for Governor in the Liberty Union Nomination.

I think where you are is important. But Leland, your statement that New York retirees that are Liberal are coming in and voting in the Vermont election just is feasable. It doesn't make sense, and the facts don't stand.

The good thing about the a large majority of the candidates running for state-wide office in Vermont was that they were natives (as in born and raised). Racine, Dubie, Shumlin, (I think Meub), Kerin, Parke (I think), and thats it. Pollina, Sanders and Douglas are not native. Imagine that....
