Well put, I agree. The idea that State reps should have a 4 yr term has been put out there and I think that is just ridiculous. One the cost and time put into a house race is no comparison to that put into a statewide office. Also, leaving the house at a two yr term allows the people to make changes in their government more readily than having everyone elected to a four yr term. I think maybe there is a grab for power by some reps or maybe they are too lazy to run the campaign every two yrs. Alternating the election of half the senators would be a great idea if we were to make the Senate a 4 yr term but I think a two year term is better for the people to be able to change the government than a 4 yr term.
