To Captain America;

I hope you and your family had a nice, restful holiday season. In the case of your Governor Dean, I have to wonder where he stands on tax cuts? Where does he stand on the death penalty? I do hope he is for a strong national defense. Still, I have to wonder if he can attain the nomination and win. When it comes from candiates from less populated states, the track record is less then perfect. There has been some exceptions, however. Calvin Coolidge came from Vermont and won the presidency in 1924. Bill Clinton came from Arkansas and won the presidency in 1992 and won re-election in 1996. Dwight Eisenhower came from Kansas and won the presidency in 1952 and won re-election in 1956.
The one that might be a tough candiate would be dark horse Gen. Wesley Clark if drafted by the Democrats. Just like Eisenhower who was nominated by the GOP, he can be very difficult to beat for he has no long standing political record to go on.
At this juncture, who knows?

Leland
