Iwas reading in the U.S. News & World Report that Staten Island and the section of Long Island which both are part of New York City want to break off from the "Big Apple" becase they have had it with liberalism that dominates the area. The NYC municipal taxes are so far out of reach, these areas want to form their own separate city and county. Crime is so high and the cost of police protection is climbing at high levels. This coming from an area that preaches "gun-control" and has a high disregard to individual gun rights of the law abiding citizens.
It is no wonder why Staten Island and Long Island want out of NYC; the liberal "wormy" Big Apple.
