Subject: Tired Old Arguments Concerning The Death Penalty Used By The "Captain"

The death penalty when implimented is a deterrant of crime and murder. The only ones that uses this tired old argument is the lawyer lobby, the ACLU and the ones who back the Democrat Party, financially.
In truth these same people oppose the death penalty for financial reason, benefiting their pocket books. If more criminals and murderers are not put to death, they more they have the opportunity to repeat crimes all over again. Do we not remember convicted rapist Willie Horton who released from a prison in liberal Massachuttes on a weekend furlough of sorts? He turns up raping a woman in another state in the process. This is what helped defeat Michael Dukakis for the presidency in the 1988 presidential election. It was under Dukakis watch that Horton did this.
Liberals and their lawyer lobby counterparts depend on misinformation to discredit the death penalty. This is the tired old arguments used in the 1960's when liberals temporary put the death penalty or a moritorium of sorts. Leftwing fringie groups like actor Mike Farrell's death penalty watch opposes the death penalty.
Peter Angelos, a known Baltimore lawyer opposes the death penalty. He is part of a lawyer lobby that wanted Al Gore elected president. He was hoping that Gore would appoint or name death penalty opponents to the United States Supreme Court and the federal bench. Angelos also owns the Baltimore Orioles baseball team of the American League. Under his stewardship, the Orioles have lasped into a loser and a sports joke because of the poor ownership that has no time for the welfare of the team. The team is a shadow of its once mighty self because of the Angelos regime that is too involved in political issues for its own good.
The death penalty is backed by state prosecutors across this nation. In truth the "Captain" is using the tired old arguments of the past. When the death penalty was put on moritorium in the 1960's and 1970's the murder rate went up nationwide. One can see evidence with the onslaught of Charles Manson and his "family", Theodore Robert Bundy and Robert Berkowitz all serial murderers of this era.
The "Captain" uses certain disimformation of the past to organize his arguments in a false sense of illusion. He merely parrots the liberal lawyer lobby (ACLU) line in their opposition to the death penalty.
Thank you for the debate, "Captain".

Leland
