Subject: Leahy is not vulnerable

Leahy is not vulnerable. He is revered as Vermont's elder statesman ... loved from Bennington to the Islands. He is a moderate voice in the Sea of craziness that hit Washington two years ago.

Leahy is great for Vermont farmers ... he kept the Dairy Compact alive longer than anyone predicted he could.

He has been a great advocate for the health of Lake Champlain ... remember ... our "Great Lake" ?

He is a powerhouse in Washington ... one that works hard to prevent the appointments of far right extremists to positions of power. He seeks a balance.

He has worked hard for Civil Liberties in a time when White House and Justice Department are intent on taking them away.

Vermont has not voted out an incumbent Senator in over a century. We certainly won't throw out a great public servant like Pat Leahy.
