While no party or politician is perfect, it was under Clintonm and the democrats that enron, worldcom, global crossing ....... cooked their books and amazingly most of the bosses have ties to good old bill. Clinton used the carrot of foriegn aid to get Enron energy contracts over in africa for instance and terry mcauliffe was in with golbal grossing making a 1000% profit right before the company went under. It was Bush and crew that started putting these bastards in jail. As I said though no party or politician is free of influence but unfortunately many of you arent able to think on your own or go beyond soundbite and are so damn biased that you cant see staight. One important thing that seperates republicans from democrats is that when one of ours gets out of line and acts in unethical ways, we kick them out or criticize them all to often democrats circle the wagons in defense of the indefensable and sometimes even go the extra distance of praising members that act in unethical ways. Life sucks I know but what are you going to do.
