I dont beleive in any preferences but the preference for children of ilumni that Yale gives is 1 pt the racial preference at Michigan is 20 pts that isa big difference. Also, I hate to tell you but it isn't rich white kids losing spots it is middle class and poor kids. Asians and jews are two minorities and they are over represented in higher learning institutes because they bust their asses and don't ahve leaders running around convincing them that they arent good enough to achieve. The answer to the educational disparities for blacks lie in grades schools and high schools where the problems can be addressed and repaired, affirmitive action is nothing more than a "band aid" to help make liberals feel good about themselves without actually having to pull their sleeves up and getting into the trenches to make a REAL difference.
