The fact of the matter is that any student who is academically qualified can go to college in this country. Not everyone is able to go to his.her first choice. Unfortunately some do not find the right help to uncover the financial assistance needed. This whole affirmative action thing has been blown way out of proportion on both sides. Good athletes, muscians, artists, and others with special talents get preference somewhere. Few colleges have a take everyone who applies process. Thus, there will always be those who are denied access at a given college. That denial should not be based on color, race, creed, religion, etc. etc. That is the one important point. JQP
