In cases where murder is NOT the subject and hwere child safety obviously IS, car accidents caused by irresponsible DUI drivers yearly kill about 40,000 children and other adults, yearly. This is more than children that are killed accidently with guns.

On the subject of gun-control and radical legislation offered by some gun-controllers. Even the most radical legiaslation seems to get a hearing these days as possible "solution" to problems. What might be claasified as a joke by yesterdays standards seems "acceptable" today by some of the liberal community. This includes the Metzenbaum "solution" of the 1970s to disarm all off duty law enforcement officers and retirees who retired from law enforcement. The gun-control movement has attracted to may "kooks" and far out leftist as fas as I can determine. Political correctness runs rampant these days in the gun-control movement.
