Subject: For Further Info On Law Enforcement

Please attain a copy of the geological book called "Earthquake Country" written by Robert Iocopi. On page 136 it so states that law enforcement in a large metropolitian area such as Southern California will be stretched out if a large earthquake would hit. This would mean an earthquake as large as the 1964 Alaska Earthquake. In a populational area offering upwards to 11 to 22 million people covering large metropolitian areas such as Los Angeles, San Diego, Santa Barbara, San Bernardino (Inland Empire), Palmedale-Lancaster, San Fernando Valley, Ventura County, Santa Clarita law enforcement would be put a nil for a durational time upwards to one week, perhaps. What personnel protection of water, food, medicine, family, neighbors if you would survive this situation would be left up to you. This of course if the highway, freeway, street infrastructure, along with major markets, stores, hospitals are destroyed or devasted. This would be of an earthquake registered on the Rictor Scale of 8.0 or higher.
This would not concern itself with a minor earthquake of no consequence. This concerns itself with a major happening such as the 1964 Alaska event; the 1906 San Francisco event or any destructive major event if you should survive.
Personnel protection would include the Right To Bear Arms because it would take a long durational time for any Civil Defense program to be activated by local, county, state and federal entities over a major disaster of this nature. Personnal protection would be left up to you during this durational period of time.
Please attain a copy of this book (Earthquake Country) which is well documented by California Technological Institute of Pasadena, California (Cal-Tech), U.S. Geological Survey, Humboldt County Geological Survey.

Leland
