In answering to your posting that you posted several days ago, you want to disarm all people who live in their private domiciles. This is what they did exactly in England, Australia and Canada. In England, the common citizen including retired Bobbies (police) are now under attack by criminals. This includes rapes, knivings, shootings and all other forms of crime. Since when does a harden criminal obey an inane gun law imposed on the general populous? If criminals will not obey a law concerning rape, what makes you think he will obey a gun law? Most guns they attain are attained through illegal means anyhow and not of theft from a home.
Why do you ignore the examples I gave where guns actually saved lives of people in their own homes? I cited one black columnist who was an anti-gun liberal by the name of Carl T. Rowan. He was so doctrinare against private citizens having use of guns, he so stated in his columns. Yet, one night he used a gun that was in his top drawer against an intruder. He shot and killed this intruder who was intent robbing and killing him (Rowan). This is an example where gun use for a law abiding citizen saved this person's life.
I have to assume you would have wanted the oppositie result with Rowan assuming room temperature while the police would have arrived well too late to do any good, right Susi?
I have lived in Northern Nevada for a short duration of time. There is remote areas up on the Great Basin that law enforcement is 50, 60 or 70 miles from ranchers, homesteaders and retirees. This includes areas liken to Lovelock, Battle Mountain, Ferneley which are towns with sheriff facilities. But these facilities cannot render help in outer areas along Interstate 80 (old U.S. Highway 40) to do any good for these homesteaders, ranchers and retirees. This is why these people who live in remote areas need to determine their own self protection as I can attest. Law enforcement will do them no good if they face an intruder/intruders with the intent to rob, plunder, steal or murder. This is why I favor the Right to Bears Arms under these circumstances additionally.
The Outback of Australia is liken to the Great Basin of Nevada. Yet the socialistic government in Australia has disarmed all citizens of their rights to carry. Thus those citizens in the great citizens of Australia and including the remote Outback have been under attack by criminals. These citizens cannot call law enforcement in time to save their own lives because of the distance they live. This all do to the gun-controllers in Australia.
Your arguments Susi, are so full of holes and inacurate statements, I can drive a semi through them. The truth is criminals will do their thing despite what laws you gun controllers pass on the average law abiding citizen. This includes Newport Vermont to crime ridden Oakland, California which is a mecca of liberal gun-control laws.
