As stated before I am a former telecommunication worker who was classified as strictly "blue collar". I additionally was in a union called Communication Workers of America. Still this union has many gun owners who adhere strongly to the Second Amendment. Many of these workers are Democrats, but they differ with their party on the oppressive gun-control and the ending of all rights to own guns by the liberal left. This is why there is a classified split within the Democrat Party over this issue. The victory by Congressman John Dingell (D)-Michigan over an anti-gun zealot like Congresswoman Lynn Rivers (D)-Michigan proves this factor. The union workers in Dingell's old district which included Dearborn (Detroit) area additionally proved this factor.
The liberal left anti-gun stance does not resonate with these union workers. Dingell's victory proved this as evident truth.
