I agree that the "sharing pool" is a cirtical element of Act 60. My point is that not all legislators think the way that you and I do. Dick Marron and others don't think that this is essential to meet the criteria of Brigham.

At the very least, there will be an increase in the block grant to lessen the dependency on the sharing pool. (which would mean an increase in the statewide property tax, as you said.)

Dick Marron will continue his crusade. Susan Bartlett, Chair of Senate Appropriations, wants to cut a deal with him. She will have more power to cut that deal this session than she has had in past sessions.

Then again ... if Tracy is making the committee assignments ... Dick Marron might be on the Fish and Wildlife Committee!!! Then all bets are off!! (just kidding)
