Why am I angry?

"Ah, a home schooler!" you say. Well, yeah, we did so for a year in Vermont and found the Dept of Ed folks to be very nice. We had NO problem with them or their system.

So why am I PO'd at the public school ed estab?

First, we pay through the nose in Vermont for public ed - up to $10,000/year/public school kid! That is outrageous - and further, throwing money at ANY problem does NOT produce better results automatically.

Second, because of the unholy lies that kids are taught in the public schools - atheism, evolutionism, twisted American history, homosexuality, sexual immorality, clandestine govt reproductive clinics for minors to get condoms, STD treatment and abortions behind parents' backs - I do not send my kid to the govt schools.

Third, though I get blood-letted like all the other taxpayer suckers for public ed, my kid does not benefit one single penny in this State from my education tax dollars.

Fourth, against my deepest held convictions of Faith, I am compelled by threat of Big Brother to pay to pervert and twist the hearts, minds and souls of other peoples' kids in the gov't schools.

Fifth, Act 60 and taxes in general in Vermont are so suffocating that people of average means - like ME - can barely make ends meat, pay the bills, own a two-bit house and pay the damnable taxes!

That's enough for now... I'm going to have a beer and calm down!
