After reading the comments re:Southam Cheated! I can only say what game were they were watching. The ref(although not in black) seemed to do a good job as any other fer i've seen in this league.
Racing had a good corner that was headed in, to be cleared off the line. There were appeals that it had crossed the line! From where I was standing it was a close call. The ref didn't give a goal. Is this the action of a ref that is cheating? I'd say not.
When Southam scored, the linesman put his flag out for offside. I thought it was about a yard offside and I was level with play. The linesman and the Racing coach called the ref to say it was offside. The ref said the flag was not held up high enough therefore he gave the goal, which is a fair comment but not the actions of a cheat. It was a good close game to watch and Southam were lucky to get the point. I watched the whole game and heard no shouts of 'kill her' from anyone.
As for not being shown to the pitch, the Racing players met at 12.30 but waited until 1.10 before making their way to the pitch. Southam obviously turned up late! But whats the harm in asking for directions?
I think it's terrible that people feel they need to make such a fuss and accuse the ref of cheating! Well this always happens when you don't want to question your own poor performance.
