the mother moose snapped her head around, momentarily forgetting the wolf before her. a scream of fury was released from her muzzle as she charged after the wolf which herded her calf away.

the young calf sqeauled in pain as the fangs sank into him. he was too young to defend himself, so he simply cried, expecting his mother to save him. his body went limp swiftly for he was weak from youth.

the mother raged on, her orbs on fire as she saw her dead calf. with anger only a mother could posses her front flints raised into the sky, flashing down to the murderer.
