The bull bellows with the explosions of pain and then eyes them cooly, for he was pushed beyond his limits of pain. Seeing the wolf on his shoulder, he turns his head to rake at her with his antlers, but finds the wolf on his neck to be in the way. Caribou rears up, dragging the wolves off the ground as they hang. Making a split-second decision, he rolls to the side in hopes of landing on the one on his shoulder. He succeeds, barely. She fell so that her left back leg was caught beneath his shoulder.He clambers up.
