Dear All

I returned to Lingflield for Easter after a term at university to find as I got off the train that Govia have seen fit to add a height restrictor across station approach. To my mind it has totally ruined the once pleasing view up to the station. I gather its purpose is the prevent gypsies squatting in the car park, I also gather from a railway employee that this has happened just 4 times in 9 years. Furthermore, it could quite simply have been put across the entrance to the car park itself which would incidentally allow bus replacement services to turn round rather than blocking the access road as they are now forced now do.
This over-the-top blot on the landscape is a classic example of totally inappropriate building and should be pulled down.

I would be interested to see if people agree.
