I am also concerned by the erection of this barrier. Surely a railway station should be freely accessed by emergency vehicles at any time of the day or night. I understand keys are available but since the booking hall isn't open 24 hours a day this could be a problem for ambulances or fire engines. Large delivery vehicles to the station, station house and the cottages have to reverse down the road with great difficulty or cause nuisance to the residents of Edenbrook by using their private driveway to turn with danger of damage to gas, water and drainage pipes laid just under the surface. The barrier has been hit or damaged 3 times so far and now has a serious list. The next time it is grazed or hit it could fall on a car or a pedestrian and injure them. A barrier across the actual car park entrance would be much better and solve the problem of the lemmings streaming out of the car park without looking left or right. Once again, could do better Govia!
