Subject: Oil burning Astra G model

I have "posted" on this site as i think that the problems i am experiencing are the same as what's being experienced in the Vauxhall Zafira models. I have heard about the problems with the Zafira in that it uses excessive oil...has anyone had the same problem with the Astra G model, petrol engine? What does the manual of the Zafira state as being normal useage of oil?
