I remember a time when my Grandmother NEVER locked her front door. Used to pop in, find she wasn't there and help ourselves to her food whilst awaiting her return.

I don't know when things changed but 3 or 4 years ago she started locking the door regardless of whether she was in or out!

One day my sister was visiting her and went into the kitchen to make her a cup of tea, heard a noise from my Grandmothers bedroom and discoverd a teenager going through her stuff. My sister was so shocked that she didn't get time to grab him before he darted out the front door.

How things have got to this point I just don't know. We shouldn't have to lock up our things Hugh, but it looks like things won't change anytime soon!!
