Old teammates, some big egos and a few scores to settle would provide great entertainment and a big crowd would turn up at either Gibbo or Jim Allen. It was proposed for the pre-season but fell through. I wouldnt like to predict the result but on paper it would be a hard- faught battle with Thirroul having a slight edge in the forwards but Norths backline, fully fit, would be hard to keep out. And just to add to the point about Norths injuries, they were missing eight starters in Mcmahon, Gammone, Sorrenson, Peard, Gunning, Winner, Grose and Stevens in their narrow loss to Kembla. The boys filled the gaps well and proved that the depth at the club will go a long way towards a long-awited Northern Suburbs premiership in 2004.
