Firstly, Australian idle, EJH Capner's much promising singing career appears to be heading down the gurgler after sustaining an injury in a recent match. Capner is spitting chips that his singing career is on hold, instead he has had to do the RSL club comedy circuit impersonating Gary Larson and Neville Wran. When his manager Harry M Miller suggested that he impersonate Larson Capner said that he can't draw. The Mish Dish has pulled out of a nation wide television commercial where he dresses as a budgerigar and sings the praises of a new brand of bird seed. A voice over was to announce: who's a pretty boy? As recently revealed by John Laws on his 2UE radio program, at a dinner party he attended along with Alan Jones and Prof David Flint, The Mish Dish is spewing, Alan Jones said that he had instructed Zelinsky not to play football again. In a shock interview on the Footy Show Books champion reserve grade fullback, budding solicitor and deputy junior Greater Union assistant manager Teague McDonald has admitted to dudding the Australian taxpayers by feigning that he is destitute and homeless so that he can claim Austudy. This is despite living in an off-shore family trust owned luxury penthouse in Wollongong's effluent suburb - Cringila, complete with butler and maid. Just when things couldn't get any worse, PM John Howard is setting up a Royal Commission to investigate allegations surrounding club vice-president Troy "Slim" Maltby obtaining food by deception. Slim allegedly dons a Salvation Army Officer's uniform and doorknocks unsuspecting homes telling the residents that he is collecting food for the needy. On at least one ocassion he is said to have strangled a chook to death stolen from the backyard of an invalid pensioner who relied on the fresh eggs as part of a special diet. Slim then had the front to ask the owner could they donate some curry powder and rice so that he could feed a starving Indian family in the area. On hearing that the lunatics have taken over the asylum, club president, professor Stephen Martin held up in Dubai, has despatched Saddam Hussein's former right -hand man Baghdad Bob over to fix up the mess.
