I agree. It should have been sorted out ages ago. This site is not anti Port, if Corrimal had have done the same thing to Port the exact same opinion would have been posted with the names reversed.
The biggest mystery to me is why Rick was allowed to believe the match was going ahead. He put a post up in good faith and presumably has not been given any reason for their stance because the mightyblacks site only has that Port refused to play, without explanation.
Corrimal have been active in putting their whole argument online with a series of emails to this site as information came to hand. This situation left the Bartercard Web Of Steel with no option but to reluctantly criticise a Tooheys League club's management for the first time. Port may well have a perfectly legitimate reason for their actions for all we know, but the silence has been deafening.
Of all clubs, Port is the last I would wish to bag, especially as I get on great with Rick, Richard Velthius and even Bobbo. If I was running their site and no one had bothered to tell me that information sitting there for ages was wrong, I'd be just as pissed as Corrimal are.
The league should put up the reason for their behaviour too - but their site ("for all the latest information etc etc") is devoid of any news on the subject - or any other for that matter.
The reason why I also removed the page commenting on this matter is because I'd been on the computer since my morning shift and quickly updated just before I had to return to work. Looking at the page when I arrived home a couple of hours later it looked like a call for fans to band together and slag off Port as it was rushed through and badly worded. This cetainly wasn't this site's intention and I apologise to any Black's fans who may have taken it that way.
