It's a huge pity that this game has all come to this. During my time with Port in an official capacity, I would like to have thought that Corrimal and Port had a good relationship - I hope it hasn't been tarnished by this episode. My personal opinions (mine alone and not necessarily the thoughts of the club) are two fold. I find it difficult to believe that the league, with a desire to become more professional, would allow a game to be deferred or rescheduled due to personal commitments. Having said that, we need to remember that we are not in the NRL.When it comes down to it, we are in "bush football", albeit of a great standard. Both clubs should have worked closely together to come to some sort of an agreement as to a mutually beneficial date to reschedule the game. The bottom line is that it seems as though the league made a decision without the approval of Port. Perhaps it is the league therefor who should be admonished. At the end of the day, Corrimal and Port, although not playing tonight, still have the opportunity to get their heads together and agree upon a date to play the game.
