Get with it Nugget. Port never professed to have beaten The Steelers Jersey Flegg. Check the website - it clearly says that The Steelers were more conditioned and disciplined in the end and actually took out the match. What was said was that Port had a great hit-out in poor conditions. Port did beat Gerringong. They're still a handy side, and again, the run for some of the Blacks who hadn't the chance to play earlier was again good. As for Lulia, I can't see why you'd be against someone wanting to play First Grade rather than Reserve Grade. At least Port had the decency to wait to talk to him until after the 2003 season had ended, and also the deceny to advise Berkeley officials that they were going to talk to him, unlike some other clubs around.
As for 2004, Port are looking forward to another competitive year, but know that the competition is stronger than ever. No one in the club is spruiking about winning the comp, just being positive about their chances to be one of the clubs who will be competing for the premiership - if I didn't know any better, that's what players from other clubs are doing as well?

On a couple of other notes, congrats to Thirroul for their win this weekend - if anyone has the right to call themselves favourites for the title this year, it has to be the Butchers. And well done to Wests as well for their great website - top stuff.
