Perhaps the Windang's strapper etc John Castle's theory 'Humble in victory and gracious in defeat' should apply Pit Shark. Bystander was perhaps refering to the attitude of some of the Sharks followers who's team collected a few scalps early season and thought (and said so) that the grand final was as good as in the bag. This season has been the closest and most interesting for a long time and that's great. Even the 'tall poppy' Avondale team, or 'Devondale' as some Sharkies like to call them have had a few big lessons in defeat this year. The Lowries to their credit kept them scoreless, and that's great too.......
Just watched the Avondale v Norths game. There was a comment made (Main index,14/7.Avondale, ref, touchies, and the world versus Berkeley)that helped inspire the win. You keep slapping a dog on the snout and it's gonna bite ya.
