Titsa may think he has the news, but the original mudslinger is back.

An unnamed source close to Thirroul hard man Ben "Hangin Tough" Couchman has come forth with video evidence of the big fella that would hardly strike fear into his opposition. The tapes date back to the early nineties, and contain evidence of Couchmans obsession with New Kids on The Block.

It has become relatively common knowledge that Couchy was caught by his brother during his teen years miming to the New Kids in front of the mirror, wearing nothing but a pink g-string and a Pat Cash style headband. Unknown until now was the fact that Couchy actually filmed these episodes and sent them to none other than Johnny Young in a bid to become a regular on the now defunct Young Talent Time Program.

As I watched the tapes amid an uncontrollable fit of laughter, my joy was brought to an abrupt halt. During footage of young Couchman at his actual audition for the show the story takes a sinister turn (the picture quality was very poor at this point, but the tapes are currently being re-mastered). It appears that a very vulnerable looking Ben, dressed as John Travolta is whisked off stage by Johnny Young midway through a toe-tapping rendition of "Greased Lightning". As the next young hopeful is ushered onto the stage, a tearful but submissive looking Couchy appears to be led to Johnny's backstage lair.

Given the recent allegations levelled against that swine Young, my blood ran cold wondering what went on behind closed doors that day. Only a few will ever know, however maybe it was a pivotal moment in Bens life, one that saw him leave the entertainment industry for good and become a gym junky front rower. This looks like being more popular than the Mimi McPherson and Sally - Home & Away scandals combined, keep an ear to the ground for a copy.
