Why is it that when,someone is rewarded for their efforts in Thirroul,the doomsayers and nit pickers come out and want to shoot that person down? I refer to Spags comments about Todd Groses selection in the rep team,for a start todd is only 35 years old and not the ancient 37 as was claimed by Spag.Another comment about Groses silvery bouffont was a very touchy subject when i asked Todd about it.He told me he didnt have a grey hair on his head until he took up abode with a former team mate several years ago,thats when the trouble started."I was forever bailing this young gun out of trouble,he even bailed me up in a fit of west coast cooler induced rage one night and i was forced to knock him into next week". Grose said the final straw came when his young ward rang the then Butchers coach Phil Ostwald at 3am and demanded to be put in that weeks first grade line up."By that stage my hair was so far gone that no amount of tint or any shade of rinse could hide my secret shame".So lay off the Koala, Spag hes been thru enough and deserves his spot!!
