why do i think that lesbian campaigning is currently en vogue? well i would say it was tricky and I think what it may come down to, is that lesbianism was a taboo, and now it is leaving that taboo for the majority of the country and that therefore it is attractive. we see pictures and think 'they can't do that', and there I think is the appeal. It's almost like when we were children and this something was forbidden, then suddenly we were allowed to do it, and boy did we do it. And i suppose some shock value could be encompassed in that too, i must admit when i looked at the nuzzle, i was like 'oh' - i would say that as a scociety we are now used to seeing women kiss, but we don't often see snuggling up to breasts too often now.
Obviously the campaigns do target the males, but i dont think that is the whole story. Women are the more attractive sex, their very softness and feminity makes them attractive to other women - also two women could potentially be much cloaser than a man and a woman, so i think that these ads are aimed at women, as they may want the sense of closeness as seen in nuzzle. The two women look very close, are laughing and comfortable round each other, and i think many women, straight or gay, and more often straight, aspire for that kind of closeness, that perhaps men dont provide. I think that nuzzle is about the closeness of women, rather tahn the sexuality.
I think that kiss is more obvious for the male to look at, there is he ultimate male turn on.
Personally i thought the whole maddona, britney thing was great. It ws abit of fun and they were joining the whole subculture of lesbianism - i dont think they would have done it just for male titilation, i think that that is too often assumed, with all lesbian stuff, i almost think there is a genuine respect for lesbians now - that women are great and its great is you are able to be with a woman - so i think they were just trying to express that maybe x
