These are Thursdays lessons

2:00-Linsey
Today we started going over what we learned the last lesson (I know it was awhile ago). I see she's been practicing! We worked on barebacking since Linsey has gotten so good at her balance. I had her just walk The Sooner The Better to get a feel of how it felt without the saddle. She did great so I asked her if she wanted to try a little bit of trotting and she was a little nervous so I put her on the longe line and had her just do a little bit while I controlled TSTB. After she had the hang of that she asked if she could do it by herself so I took her off the line and let her go. She did great!! I left if there since it was a good note. We'll work more on it tomorrow.

3:00-Lacey and Whisper or Shout.
Today we went over what we worked on the last time. Again practicing has been going on!!! :) So I did a little test with Lacey to see if she remembered what we had learned about Walking. She remembered to keep her shoulders back and go with the flow of the horse. Next was Trot. I asked her what we had to remember about Posting trot first. She remembered to use her legs to rise and not to pull herself up with her hands. She also remembered about being gentle on the horses. Next I asked her about sitting trot. She said that you have to use a deep seat to not "Bounce" and to keep your back straight. Before I could even ask her about Canter she said you have to keep your feet so they are paralell to the floor and that you have a deep seat again and it's kind of like a rocking horse. I said that was good and that we'd leave it on that.

4:00-Erick.
Today we worked on games. We worked on pole pending and flags. He did great. There were a few times while working on some pole bending he stated to loose his balance but got it back before he fell. Great job!!

5:00-Lisa.
Today we worked on some bareback work and some emergency dismounts. Lisa lost her balance a few times and fell but got right back up and worked some more on it. Finally she got it. The emergency dismount she had no troubles with. Good job see you Friday when we work on some Dressage.

6:00-MeShelle
Today MeShelle is on Bonnie. Today we were working on Collection. I placed some poles on the ground and told her how many strides to put between each set of poles. She did great. Then I placed little jumps and had her do the same thing. I noticed her body postion and so I had her work on that as well. She has to remember not to through herself onto her horses neck and not brace herself with her hands there as well. Good job

7:00-Adam
Today I had set up some jumps for him to go over. Just little ones. Nothing bigger than a foot and a half. We worked on body potion just like with MeShelle. A few times Princess stopped and Adam fell but he got right back on and wanted to work some more. I asked him how come he fell? He said cause he was anticipating the jumps and forgot to keep his leg on. I said good so back again he went to get it and this time he got it!!
That's it for today we'll work more tomorrow!!
