2:00-Linsey
Today we worked on a little bit of collection. I put the poles on the ground and had her adjust the number of strides between each pole just like I've had MeShelle and Adam doing. Linsey got it on the first try. I had her do it at a trot and then a canter and she had no problems. All the while we're doing this I was having her work on her balance as well. She did great!

3:00-Lacey
Today Lacey is on Fortissimo and we worked on rising trot and sitting trot. She did great in the sitting trot very little movemnt in the rising trot I can see she's relying on her stirups and pulling herself up with her hands. I put her on the lounge line and told her to drop the reins and just do a posting trot with her legs. She had a little trouble in the beginning (probably from nerves) but soon got the hang of it.
After she got the hang of it without her reins I let her have them back and we tried it withoutstirrups. Again a little more trouble but eventually got it!! (should practice this at home)

Today we will work on some Jumping. I put up a few jumps around the arena at a foot and a half. Had him trot over the jumps first so I could see his postion. It was pretty good but he was roaching his back a bit after the first few times he got the hang of it. Next I had him try cantering a few jumps. He made it look so easy!!:) Great job.

5:00-Lisa
Today we're working with Baby Blues. Today we worked with more in hand stuff. We worked on leading doing walk and trot. We worked on halting when Lisa asked. Baby is such a sweetie who really loves Lisa.Just keep working with her at home and she's doing great!

6:00-MeShelle
Today Meshelle and I are working on Dressage. We worked on keeping the horse balanced and bringing Storm onto the bit and into a nice frame. We worked on keeping that going throughout walk/trot/canter. Worked really hard on getting Storm to bend around MeShelle's leg when going around a corner as opposed to just dropping that inside shoulder. We left it at that today so as not to confuse Storm to much!! At the end of the lesson MeShelle had Storm consistently on the bit and bending so that was a good place to stop.

7:00-Adam
Today Adam and Princess worked on some Dressage. I had him do the same thing as Meshelle. He had a little trouble with Princess not wanting to bend around his leg but I taught him a trick and was able to get her to bend. I told him he can tell he's got a good bend from her if he can see her inside eye(or whichever way he's wanting her to bend) We worked mostly in figure 8's making sure he could come through the centre and get her to bend at the exact moment he wanted her too. Great job. Practice this at home.
