Subject: Veteran's Day Event

Greetings all members of the Order of Confederate Gray:

We have received another invitation from our friends in the Sons of Confederate Veterans to fall in with them on Friday, Nov. 11th, at 3 PM, to honor a local Confederate hero interred at Rose Hill Cemetery in Fort Worth.

Robt. E. Lee Camp # 239 is holding a dedication of a restored Southern Cross of Honor at the graveside of Major J.M. Handley, namesake of the Handley area of Fort Worth.
This is the original Cross of Honor for Maj. Handley, which was lost for many years and recently found and restored.

Rose Hill Cemetery is located at Lancaster and Sandy Lane in Fort Worth, about 1 mile East of Loop 820.
More detailed directions are forthcoming.

This should be a good LOCAL event for us to appear at; I know its in the afternoon but hopefully some folks can plan ahead to be there.
