Subject: Field Promotions

It is the honor and priviledge to announce that Color Sgt. Preston Furlow has been promoted to the rank of Second Lt, Infantry. He has been promoted with all the duties and responsibilities of said position. Also, Pvt. Tom Bennet has been assigned and accepted the position of Adj. taking the responsibilities from Adj. Tom Tierce who has been promoted to Captain of the Cav. unit. Replacement of Color Sgt will be announced by Color Sgt Monroe at a later date. We will be attending the Stock Show Parade in January. I am working on the "Right to bear arms" in the parade. The appalication still states that we cannot, so this will be overturned as was last year. We will lead the Confederate contingent again this year as the original Ft. Worth Confederate Grays did for so many years in the past. It is only fitting and proper that the Grays lead the contingent. This will be a MAX EFFORT for the Grays and all that form up with us. Anyone wishing to form up with the Grays need to let us know by e-mail or message board entry.
We will be doing something special in the next couple of weeks that you will want to be a part of. Stay tuned for further details as they come available.
