With the news of mathew douglas stepping down after the '03 season from the tbl high life of being the manager of the defending champ's, the Federal League, there have been many potential candidates for the juicy job. The most likely one is Jared Nicastro, vet. all star from the same team. "He would make a good manager, and I don't think he would let the TBL world down" stated national manager Bryan Cobb, "He is reliable enough and would bring a new aspect to the game". Nicastro, with his lifetime batting avg. of .203 and lifetime era of 13.5 hasn't been the strongest of tbl stars but has played in numerous tbl championship games and taken home more than his dew of rings, he also brings leadership, which right now is what the FL is hurting for.
But Nicastro is not alone in his race for the Head seat for the FL, ALer Robbie Demarco is also entering the race. Thats right Rob "hot head" Demarco is drooling over the idea of being a manager in the Tennis Ball League. Not the most likely one to take over the job, but Demarco has shown that he knows the game good enough to bring another ring to the defending champs. Demarco quoted on his desire to be a manager for the FL; "dude, I could fucking do this, my team would be unstoppable!". Demarco having a lifetime batting avg. of .379 and Lifetime era of 23.1 has had his ups and many downs but has shown leadership and sheer brilliants at times. And after learning of his statement by his own manager Chris Neisz he has even more of a drive to leave the AL and become the leader of the FL. "I'd rather play with out rob" is the statement by his manager that has Robbie fired up and ready to do things on his own
This is going to come down to who can really bring this team to glory and with that only time can tell
