Hey, RackAttack.....nice find! All I can tell you is that when we got our Buck 2 years ago, we had it mounted "European Style". The guy who did it for us boiled the skull just below the antlers(in a big round tub)to get all the flesh, etc. to fall off. I didn't see the whole process but this may be the best way for you to go. Not much help.....but I hope it gives you some ideas. Most of the dead bucks I've found during shed hunting have been down to the skull /w spine attached. Mother nature has taken care of most of it for me! I have a nice drop-tine 4x5 that we mounted and put up on the wall that I found 2 years ago. Good Luck!!
