Hi Flick....Well, I have found them all over. Never in a bedding area or on a deer trail, but sometimes under a tree, in canyons, along a fence line, edge of a clearing or at the tree line, in a bush where they've stopped to browse, on top of lava flow formations, in the middle of a dirt road,edge of a burn,on the side of the road.....these are a few of the places I've found them.Depends on the area you're in, etc.How the deer move and what they have for cover and if they're pushed by too many people hanging around.
